Dr. Jared is a board-certified pediatric dentist at Happy Chompers. He grew up in East Texas, where he also attended college at Stephen F. Austin. In 2016, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics. Afterward, he left East Texas and completed his dental training at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. During this time, he actively participated in the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) and later became a member of the Board of Trustees at the national level. He represented all schools in Texas, as well as Oklahoma and Colorado. Additionally, he received the senior award for clinical excellence.
Following dental school, he pursued a two-year pediatric dental residency at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, CA. His training specialized in caring for children with special healthcare needs. His personal experiences with having a cleft lip and palate help him relate to his pediatric patients with dental needs. The caring and compassionate cleft team he encountered years ago sparked something in Dr. Jared that he continues to implement with his current patients.
Dr. Jared thoroughly enjoyed his time in San Diego but knew he wanted to return to his home state of Texas. He loves all outdoor adventures, including visiting and hiking national parks, skiing in the mountains, and relaxing near bodies of water. Feel free to bring in any book recommendations as he is a big book nerd.
Dr. Jared is excited to start his new life in Houston and is looking forward to meeting all of you!
